
Women’s World Cup Scandal
In a strange turn of events, officials in the Wizarding Sports department announced the disqualification of the Siberian Sirens in the Quidditch World Cup Women’s Division. Bertha Brabbitts confessed to using Felix Felicis in their final game against the Finland Faeries. Ms. Brabbitts isn’t the only person to blame for this shameful cheating tactic. Investigators discovered the lucky potion had been handed out to all players on the team, by their captain, Clarice Witherby.
Ms. Witherby refused to comment to any and all reporters, however, we have learned the current players on the Sirens team is now banned. Along with the 7 million galleon fine the owner has to pay, he must also recruit a whole new team. Officials were unable to link the owner with the crime, but they do believe he will be more cautious in the future. Former team members have all been taken to Azkaban, pending trial. Teams competing in the Quidditch World Cup, Women’s Division this weekend are the Holyhead Harpies and the Finland Faeries.
