Well, I can safely say that this month is all about Slytherin, as they have their Pride Month up and going. So far, Slythoween is going out with a bang. Everyone should be nice to the royal highnesses of Slytherin, or you will surely face the wrath from the Wall of Pain. I give credit to Professors Devlin, and Cuore for all the hard work that they did in setting up these events. They really outdid Slythoween from last year. Also, credit is given to Prefects Ginger Wadsworth, Cypress St. James, Prenela Parval, and Ulrich Macnair.
Also, it looks like all of the Houses have their Quidditch teams set, so that should be good to see this year, if you are a quidditch fan. Staying on the Slytherin path, since it is Slythoween after all, I have to say that they probably have the most dominate team this year. Seventh year co-captain, Josh Daniels, is looking for a Quidditch Cup before his departure from Hogwarts. Let’s show our team spirit for all of the Quidditch Teams this year. They all look unstoppable.
Finally, I am going to mention the House Cup. Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor are looking to try and beat out Hufflepuff for the House Cup this year. Hufflepuff has won the Cup, ever since Professor Elizabeth Peevison became Head of House. Though, Professors Felicity Shukurova, and Adreia Kragen want a different outcome this year. Slytherin might even be trying to win the Cup this year. Who knows what’s going on with them? Currently, though, Ravenclaw leads the pack with 9,394 points. Hufflepuff is a close second, however, with 8,942. You can never count anyone out, until the year passes us.
If you have any updates for your House, please owl (PM) me, Brian Clarke.

Gazing into my crystal ball, I will tell you what to expect in the near future. Some of you may think these are a load of rubbish, but do not underestimate the workings of the inner eye. Now, let us begin.
I see a Ravenclaw girl with short blonde hair, looks to be a second or third year, trying to avoid another Ravenclaw girl, who appears to be older. The younger girl will enter a haunted house, which is really a bad idea by the way, and the older girl will follow. In the dim lighting of the house, the younger girl cannot see that the one she is running from is only one step behind. As she heads toward a stream of green light coming from a doorway ahead, she hears maniacal laughter right behind her.
The doorway leads into a room with glowing green walls, and slippery flooring. Walking as fast as she can, she enters the room and immediately slides across the slippery floor and slams into the glowing green wall on the opposite side. She will find that what she thought was simply a hex to create an eerie effect on the walls is really a sticking charm enhanced to glow. The older girl knew of this particular bit of trickery and guarded herself so she would not slide when she stepped on the floor. While her prey stuck to the wall, she will enjoy using her own style of — persuasion and trickery on the younger girl who regards her as crazy.
A smokey fog fills my crystal ball, then clears as another scene unfolds. I now see a young Gryffindor boy inside a sweet shop with three older girls and four older boys. Each girl picks up a different kind of candy and begins handing them out to the boys. The Slytherin girl gives a box of candy to the younger Slytherin boy, then hands a roll of ’special’ candy to the smaller of the two older Gryffindor boys. The Hufflepuff girl hands the older Slytherin boy a lollipop in the shape of a snake, and selects a frozen chocolate sweet to give to the other Gryffindor boy with a famous name. Finally, the Gryffindor girl hands the youngest Gryffindor boy a stick with bright red candy covering more than half of the stick.
The boys all begin eating the yummy looking snacks. The younger Slytherin boy begins turning green and develops all the symptoms of Dragon Pox. The Gryffindor boy with the special roll of candy will eat only the darkest red colored ones in the pack, licking his lips while muttering “AB negative mmmm.” The older Slytherin boy will lick his snake lollipop, then jump back in amusement as the lollipop licks him back. The Gryffindor boy with the famous name will smirk at the other boys in the shop as he takes a bite of his frozen treat. His smirk will immediately be replaced by a look of disgust as he spits the sweet out. However, the taste of poop stays in his mouth. The youngest Gryffindor boy takes a large bite out of his bright red candy stick, and begins moaning in pain a few minutes later. Boils begin forming on his face and arms, and soon cover different areas of his body.
The scene changes as time passes by and the Slytherin boy who looks like he’s suffering with Dragon Pox is still suffering with the effects. Meanwhile, the Gryffindor boy who developed boils has returned to normal. The scene changes again and shows the Slytherin boy singing to the Gryffindor boy with the famous name. As he sings, he begins returning to his normal complexion.
Once more, smokey fog fills my crystal ball as yet another scene is shown to me. Heavy rainfall will dampen a funfilled campfire for group of students hanging out near the lake. This isn’t the only surprise held for them, as they soon discover walking uphill on wet grass is not as easy as they thought it would be. Slick from rain, the grassy hillside turns into a water slide, as each student zips down, only to land in the lake.
