Icy Weather and Comical Mishaps
The extreme icy weather experienced throughout both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds has created some very comical mishaps, mainly by muggles. Sources in several Muggle News reporting agencies leaked this information to Wizarding World News. One instance occurred when a muggle man, curious as to exactly how cold it was outside, decided to soak his clothes and set them outside - in order to see how long it would take for the wet clothing to freeze. However, the muggle man neglected to remove the clothing from his body before wetting them and strode outside into the freezing cold. Needless to say, he was only able to walk as far as his clothes line, before his clothes froze. His neighbor found him almost half an hour later, and helped him back into his home (Once the neighbor stopped laughing at his foolishness, that is.)
Another instance occurred when someone called a “Televison” reporter performed experiments, to show other muggles just how cold it was. The muggle woman proceeded to ‘lick’ something called a microphone, which is made of a metallic substance. Her tongue was instantly stuck to the object, with no foreseen way to unstick it, other than pulling the object off. The woman struggled with the object during the entire broadcast of her session, bringing the viewership up a whopping 100 percent. Sources say a janitor finally took pity on the woman at the end of the broadcast, and poured hot water on the object, which helped remove it from her tongue.
A witch, who is reported to be “gaga” went into her garden on the coldest day yet, to water her plants. Unfortunately for her, she forgot what her inital goal was, and jumped into a half frozen pool of water. The witch’s sister found her a mere five minutes later, and apparated to St. Mungo’s. Healers report the woman’s physical health is fine, but her mind has “flown the coop”.
